After many nail-biting close rounds, we have this years Long Island Restaurant March Madness Champion… La Parma 2 located in Huntington! And we celebrated the only way we know how- with food!
Before we get into the good eats, let me first start off by saying that the service and hospitality was one of the best experiences I have had. I got to meet with the chef, owner and their staff and everyone was nicer than the next! Shout out to our waiter Chris, who was so knowledgeable and helped me get great video content with his cutting skills.

Now, the good stuff… the food! On the ride home from dinner, Ryan asked me what my favorite dish was. We talked in circles for about 10 minutes. Every time I finally thought I knew what my favorite dish was, I was quickly reminded about another dish I loved. So after much debate my favorite dish ended up being the Lobster Ravioli. The raviolis were cooked just to my liking- al dente. The cognac shrimp sauce was TO DIE FOR, I even caught Ryan trying to steal the leftover sauce off my plate! The lobster was so delicious, you could tell as soon as you cut into the ravioli that they serve only top quality lobster.
Other Favorites
Fire Grilled Spanish Pulpo: Octopus can be tricky to cook, but of course La Parma 2 did not disappoint. The octopus was so tender and flavorful- the charred taste paired beautifully with the mint vinaigrette it was drizzled with. Bonus points because it was plated beautifully.

Homemade Fettuccine Caprese: The fettuccine is a MUST next time you go to La Parma 2. The sauce was a light tomato reduction that paired absolutely perfect with their homemade fettuccine which was made just hours before. My favorite element of this dish was the fresh mozzarella pearls that were thrown in after the pasta was cooked which slightly melted by the time it reached the table. Also, don’t let the fresh arugula scare you- it completed the dish. All the elements mixed together made it a bite of heaven.
Spring Pear & Apple Salad: We were so lucky to dine at La Parma 2 in perfect timing to try this new special salad. This was the perfect spring salad- mixed greens, Gorgonzola
cheese, crisp Granny Smith apples, homemade candied walnuts and a light horseradish vinaigrette. I know some people have wishy-washy feelings about horseradish, but do not let it discourage you from trying this salad. It was a great bite.

Milk Fed Domestic Veal Chop Valdostana: I knew it was going to be a stellar dish as soon as I saw it garnished with smoking rosemary. Similar to octopus, veal can be hard to cook. And once again, La Parma 2 delivered! The veal was so tender and perfectly cooked, it practically melted in my mouth. The sauce had an unmatched flavor profile that paired perfectly with the mushrooms. And of course who doesn’t love melted cheese, this was the icing on the cake!
I somehow found room in my stomach to fit dessert in, and boy am I glad! We had cannoli with shells imported from Sicily and filling made in house and as you can guess it was amazing just like everything else. We also had vanilla bean gelato, served with fresh strawberries and drizzled with 25 year balsamico di modena igp. I never had a flavor combination like this and was pleasantly shocked with how much I enjoyed it. The age of the balsamic gave it a
sweeter taste which paired great with the rest of the dish.

La Parma 2 you have my heart and I cannot wait to come back. Until then I will be dreaming of their Lobster Ravioli.
